Throwing your best song on in the middle of everyday traffic jams, listening to your get ready music for a night out, listening. To rain sounds to help you get to sleep, all of these have a part to play. Tones, sounds , voices whimpers and whispers have that same effect on us, when I was in my librarian era, I would read to people, they always told me how much of a soothing voice I had, of course at the time I didn’t take it serious, until one day whilst reading aloud a book, a woman, sat next to me, watching me, listening intently to ever word, every pronunciation, every sigh and pause, when I had finished, she smiled, she asked me have I ever thought about reading adult stories, for a living, I chuckled, but she continued and proceeded to tell me many individuals she knows would love to be read too.
A few years down the line, I find myself halfway through my bachelor’s degree in forensic psychology, a topic came up and immediately I was intrigued, how sound and a reassuring voice and tone changes the chemistry in the brain, to make one feel safe. This was now my interest and I needed to find out more.
I’d always found myself being aroused by word, sound, voices, until this moment, I’d always put it down to just a moment or a mild fetish. The more I delved into the world of erotica both written and spoken, I knew I’d found my Niche, I explored with all the do’s and don’ts and then some more don’ts, then a lot more do’s. I explored not just mine but others who were willing to see if this had any effect, those who were just as curious as me…
Erotic storytelling is an art, it forms from the simplest gestures, even a rhythm in breathing, you know when your watching a movie and you get that suspense feeling, you hold your breath, or that scene In a movie which makes you feel or think the filthiest thoughts and that little voice that just wonders’ what if someone said that to me? Now there is no need to wonder, or scrolling for hours for that perfect voice, just voices curated to your ears, making you feel like it was meant just for you and you’re listening in on a dirty little secret…
